MISSION STATEMENT: Celebration Singers of Asheville strives to ignite a lifelong love of singing by nurturing the full expression of each individual's potential for artistic and personal excellence by emphasizing healthy vocal technique, expressive singing and music literacy, while simultaneously engendering growth of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, self-confidence and self-esteem.
history: Now in our 10th year, Celebration Singers of Asheville is an auditioned community chorus for young singers ages 2nd GRADE - high school who are talented and committed to excellence. Founded by Artistic Director Ginger Haselden in 2007 as a 501(c)3 non-profit educational charity and officially endorsed by ASHEVILLE CHORAL SOCIETY AND Asheville Lyric Opera, Celebration Singers of Asheville presents two concerts a year and sings by invitation with the Asheville Lyric Opera, Asheville Choral Society, Transylvania Choral Society, choir festivals, senior citizen communities and local/statewide civic events. November 2009 -- performed in Ashevillve lyric opera Christmas concert december 2010 -- performed with asheville choral soCIETY may 2011 -- performed with asheville choral society April 2012 -- performed in Carnegie Hall April 2013 -- performed DEAD MAN WALKING OPERA with The Modern American Music Project March 2014 -- participated in national American Organization of Kodaly Educators in Atlanta, GA. 2014 -- recorded 2 cd's with Billy Jonas for his new albums "BUILD IT BACK AGAIN" and "HAYBATA HOMEWARD" Dec. 2015 --Performed with Asheville Choral Society for Annual holiday candlelight concert jUNE, 2016 -- performed crescent city children's choir festival new oleans March 4, 2017 Piedmont INvitational children's Choir Festival, Winston-Salem, NC mAY, 2017 -- INVITATION TO PERFORM IN CARNEGIE HALL MEMORIAL DAY CONCERT new york city
